About the Mishap

I can’t tell you how many times a week I find myself asking “is this really my life?”

In my 27 years on this earth, one thing has never failed me. There will never be a dull moment. I find myself with this propensity for getting into the most ridiculous predicaments without even trying. Often times these situations are not my own doing, I simply get dragged in by friends or family, but there have been some doozies for which I am solely responsible. I wouldn’t change any of this, though, because it’s made my life one that I can look back on and say “Damn, I really have lived, haven’t I?”

I prefer dogs over cats, and dog people over cat people. I love punk music, but have a not-so-secret stash of crappy pop music that I listen to more than most would find acceptable. I have gotten super stoked about fitness countless times, and have gotten lazy and unmotivated with it just as many times. I’m smart as a whip, but have boundless blonde  moments – just ask my friends. My bad luck would make one think I purposely seek out black cats and broken mirrors, but I’m pretty optimistic. I love my family, as crazy and dysfunctional as they can get sometimes, and my friends are the best I could ever ask for. I’ve been nicknamed Meatloaf, mainly because of my ridiculous appetite. The only place I don’t suffer absurd road rage is on LBI – that place is like a drug for me. I’m curious and clumsy and scattered, but that’s what makes things fun and keep the people around me on their toes.

Not quite sure which direction this whole blogging thing is going to take, but as of now, it’ll most likely be a written chronicle of the random shit I say/do/encounter throughout the course of simply being me, mixed in with my opinion on just about everything/anything. Nothing is safe.
