All For a Good Cause

The Walking Mishap may be a snarky bitch at times, but her heart is always in the right place. Check out these organizations/causes that are near and dear to the Mishap’s heart!

SAVE UD ARTS – This is the school district I grew up in. They are facing a huge loss if the budget issues they are having require the arts and music programs to be cut at the elementary and middle school levels.

Rock for CHOP – Amplifying the upside of Down Syndrome and promoting Down Syndrome awareness. One of the founders is a close friend of the Walking Mishap, so check it out!

Delco SPCA – This is where the Walking Mishap adopted her canine companion, Dexter. Next time you’re looking to add a furry family member, don’t shop  – adopt!

Pura Vida Bracelets – Not only is their merch cute, but 1% of proceeds go to the Surfrider Foundation, an organization that is dedicated to protecting and preserving beaches and oceans worldwide.

St. Jude – Having a younger sibling diagnosed with cancer a few years ago opened the Walking Mishap’s eyes to what kids go through to get healthy.

Wounded Warrior Project – Raising awareness and enlisting the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – Having seen friends and family fight Hodgkin Lymphoma, this cause is one the Mishap feels deserves some attention.

These links will likely be multiplying over time. Leave a comment if you have an organization you’d like to see here!
